| The $5,000 Fall Trail qualifier #6 at Jordan Lake got off to a foggy start but ended up with nice weather! 19 boats showed up to qualify for the Championship scheduled for November 6th at Shearon Harris. Nice and cool with sunny skies, light humidity & winds. 38 bass were weighed in for a total of 115 pounds. Water temps averaged 65 and air temps ranged from 42 to 69. Big fish for the day was 6.31 pounds caught by the winning team of Doug Stallings and Mike Riggs. The bass were caught in depths from 2' to 6' of water on just about anything thrown at them. Rat-L Traps, Shakey Heads and worm rigs fished around rip-rap, stumpy & rocky secondary points seemed to produce the better bags. Stallings and Riggs topped the field with 5 nice bass weighing 23.38 lbs! Fall fishing is getting better and all the area lakes should be producing some nice fish. We really, however, need some major rain! The lakes are getting low! The final $5,000 Fall Trail qualifier #7 will be Sunday, October 30th at Shearon Harris out of Holleman's Crossing Wildlife Ramp. Teams must fish 4 of the 7 qualifiers to fish the Championship on November 6th, and there is only 1 qualifier left! So don't miss out on this great Fall fishing. The projected 1st place in the Championship should be over $2,000 !!!
