Jordan Lake 'Open'
Counter
Beautiful warm day!  Air temps ranged from 72 to 89 degrees, water temps averaged 86 degrees and the
wind was light to 10 mph. For our 6th and final Spring 'Open' of 2011, we had 12 boats show up to fish
Jordan Lake out of Farrington Point Wildlife ramp. Jay Garrard and Mark Herndon of Durham & Bahama,
won with 5 bass weighing 23.00 lbs. 54 bass were weighed in totalling 111 pounds. I want to thank all of
our anglers and our sponsors for supporting this trail!
Story of the day: Bass were caught mainly on C & T rigs and jigs mostly in 8 to 14 feet of water. Bass are
now pretty much spawned out and have gone to the summer deep water pattern. Top water is still an
option if fished early before the sun pops out!

The next and final Spring tournament will be at Falls Lake June 18th out of Ledge Rock Wildlife ramp. This
event will be the 'Piedmont Bass Classics $5,000 Bass Tournament Trail' Spring Championship!! This event
is just for the anglers that qualified and is not an open event.  Now here are the June 11th results:
