PBC $5,000 Bass Trail Qualifying Tournament #6

Great day for fishing even under the threat of severe thunderstorms, which arrived just after we had
everyone weighed in, paid and sent home! The team turnout was 57 boats! 230 bass were weighed for a
total of 686 pounds! 226 fish were released alive! Water temps averaged 75 and air temps ranged from 55
to 77 with winds ranging from light to 10 mph midday. Big fish for the day was 7.87 pounds and plenty of
bass were weighed in over 6 pounds each. The spawn is 99% over and the fishing is hot!!! Just about any
lure would work this day, but the c-rigs & t-rigs seemed to tempt the bass which were mostly caught in
shallow water. The bass fishing at area lakes should be extremely good at this time.
