| Piedmont Bass Classics Results July 9th, 2011 ~ Falls Lake ~ Ledge Rock Ramp PBC $5,000 Summer Trail Qualifier #2 |
| The $5,000 Summer Trail drew another good crowd at Falls Lake with 29 boats showing up to qualify for the Championship scheduled for August 27th at Jordan Lake. The bite was again a little off for Falls. Just 58 bass were weighed in for a total of 159 pounds. The anglers did a great job keeping their fish alive with the latter day heat being close to 90 degrees! Water temps averaged 83 to 85 and air temps ranged from 70 to 90 with winds ranging from light to 10 mph in the afternoon. Big fish for the day was 7.52 lbs. and another 7 pounder was caught, but the angler wasn't in the big fish pot! Dennis & Keith Allen of Four Oaks, won with 5 bass weighing just 17.34 lbs! Dennis and his Father used only Carolina Rigs to make up their creel. The bass they caught mostly after noon in 14 feet of water. Same old Summer Pattern! The $5,000 Summer Trail qualifier #3 will be Saturday, July 16th at Jordan Lake out of Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp.
