| Piedmont Bass Classics & Team Crappie Results April 10th, 2010...Falls Lake~Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp The bass are asleep at Falls! That's right! They are on the bed! Pretty soon, baby bass will be everywhere. Bass fishing was bad if you were trying to catch female lunkers, but there were enough males around to make things interesting. A few females were weighed in, full of eggs with not much signs of tail wear. So the bedding season has just started. 18 teams showed up with air temps at 38 degrees in the am and rising to about 68 at weighin. Only 22 keepers were weighed in for a total weight of a little over 72 pounds. Water temps were reported at up to 69 degrees. Bass are still in 1 to 4 feet of water. From what I heard, most of the fish bit on spinnerbaits, buzz baits, jigs and a few plastics. I want to thank our sponsors for this tournament...Carolina Game and Fish & Dual Supply in Hillsborough along with Crown Honda Southpoint in Durham for donating bonus prizes for the 1st place team.
