| Piedmont Bass Classics & Team Crappie Results April 17th, 2010...Jordan Lake~Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp Jordan Lake is starting to come back to life! Bass seem to be in the 'post-spawn' period and more quality bass are being caught. 24 teams showed up and the results were close! Most of the fish were caught in 1 to 4 feet of water around grass beds and any structure found, such as twigs, stumps and rocks. Any little thing that a bass could use for ambush purposes. Air temps ranged from 59 in the am to a pleasant 78 in the pm. Winds were light and water temps ranged from 67 to 72 degrees. Most fish were caught on jigs, plastics and spinnerbaits. 36 fish were weigh in for a total weight of 129 pounds. I really want to thank Lonestar Steakhouse & Saloon in Durham for donating $250 in gift certificates as a bonus for the 1st place team, along with Crown Honda at Southpoint in Durham, that donated $250 in cash and Castaway Fishing Supply in Smithfield who donated $250 in gift certificates. The 1st place team received an extra $750 in bonus cash and prizes! Not bad. Thank you sponsors, so much, for the support you give the anglers in this area. Anglers! Please support your sponsors! The next event is at Falls Lake, out of Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp, this coming Saturday, April 24th. There will be a $250 bonus award for the 1st place team, compliments of Durham Refrigeration.
