| Piedmont Bass Classics & Team Crappie Results April 24, 2010...Falls Lake~Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp Team Bass Division.... What a day! Beautiful morning, midday and a little breezy for the afternoon weighin. The rain held off and the fish were caught! 31 teams showed up to fish Falls and the bite was on! 78 bass were weighed in for a total of 274 lbs. We had one 8 pounder, several 7's and a few 6's. The bass are in the spawn to post-spawn period and were scattered everywhere. There were lots of males in the 3 pound range caught and plenty of short fish that couldn't be brought to the scales. The fish nailed everything from buzz baits to plastics. So, I can say at this time, Falls is Hot! Fish were caught in 1 to 8 feet of water. Water temps were 69 to 71 degrees and the winds ranged from calm in the am to 20 in the pm. Air temps from 59 to 75. I really want to thank Mark Herndon of Bahama for sponsoring this tournament. His company, DURHAM REFRIGERATION, donated $250 in cash for the 1st place bonus money. If you need any commercial refrigeration products or repairs, please give Mark a call at 919-477-6377. Please do business with our sponsors! Without them our tournaments would not be as popular. The next tournament will be at Falls on May 1st out of Ledge Rock wildlife ramp. RIDGECREST BAPTIST CHURCH'S OUTDOOR MINISTRIES PROGRAM will be sponsoring this one with a $500 cash 1st prize bonus! Coffee will be served to the anglers in the morning and after the event they will put on a hot dog cookout for all the anglers and their immediate family. 2 Abu Revo reels and Falcon rod combos worth $200 each, will be given away, by drawing, to 2 lucky anglers and drawings for Zebco rod and reel combos will be given away to family members. Please attend this one! It's gonna be a great tournament and a lot of fun!
