| Piedmont Bass Classics & Team Crappie Results July 24, 2010...Falls Lake~Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp Team Bass Division Results Temps..103 degrees! Water temps up to 94 degrees. The bite was tough with bass being a little inactive with these temps. The 12 teams that showed up also looked a little inactive when they came back to the scales. I changed the weigh-in time from 3 to 2, but that helped little. It was just miserably hot. One team, however, hooked 2 nice bass near weigh-in time. When they got back to the parking lot they were the only team that looked cool & happy! 40 bass were weighed in totaling 134 pounds, but the big story of the day was the team of Mike Carden and Johnny Wilder that weighed in the heaviest bag of the year with 5 bass weighing 27.09 pounds (2 of which weighed close to 8 lbs. each)! The anglers again did a great job of keeping them alive too! Good job ya'll !! Crankbaits & Tex & C rigs again was the ticket for the catches.
