OK, the PBC webite has been updated and the Spring Trail is now open for pre-entry. www. piedmontbassclassics.com Click on the $10,000 Spring Trail link. If you would like to pre-register for any or all the 'qualifying tournaments', you can do so with just a $10 Non-Refundable deposit, for each one, to get & hold a good starting position! You must fill out an entry blank for each tournament you want to fish, but you can send just one payment to cover all. So if you want to enter 6 of them, for example, you fill out 6 entry blanks and send just one check or MO for $60 to cover the total cost. These pre-entries must be made by mail or bring them to my house. I will not be taking registrations over the phone for the Spring Trail. As soon as a team has qualified to fish in the Spring Trail Championship, they may sign up with me to receive their starting spots with just a $10 Non-Refundable deposit. The entry blanks for the Spring Trail are now on the website. You can print them, fill them out and send them in with payment starting now. Remember, your team must be declared at the 1st tournament you fish together. Please read the rules...............!! Also you will notice the change for the Championship payout. We averaged 59 boats in the 2011 Spring Trail and hope to up that for 2012. The guaranteed 1st place for the 2012 Championship will still be $5,000 as it was for the 2011 Championship. I decided to raise the team entry fee, for 2012, to $110 with $10 of that going into a Championship Fund. The paybacks for each event will be the same as always. Optional Big Fish & TWT entries & paybacks will stay the same. However, if we average just 50 boats in all 8 events..... I'm am going to guarantee $10,000 in cash and prizes for the 1st place team in the 2012 Championship! If we average less than 50 boats, everything will be reduced percentagewise. If we average more than 50 boats, the extra money will be split evenly to all places in the Championship. Here is an example of the Championship payback in cash and prizes if we average just 50 boats in all 8 events and have 50 boats fishing in the Championship: 1st: $10,000 2nd: $1,080 3rd: $680 4th: $560 5th: $440 6th: $360 7th: $280 8th: $240 9th: $200 10th: $160 Points Champions: $1,000 Big Fish & TWT will be determined by participants plus bonus money. Remember, all of these tournaments are 'open' events except for the Championship, which you have to qualify for. So even if you don't want to try for the Championship, you can still fish any of the qualifiers you wish. Check out the 2012 Special Spring Open Tournaments! These have now all been sponsored, which means that in addition to the regular 1st place money winners will receive an additional $250 in prizes from the sponsors! We payback 80% or more of the tournament entry fees at each event, not 63 or 71%. Just keep in mind, when you schedule what you are going to fish next year, that Piedmont Bass Classics has no membership fees, no late fees, 100% paybacks for Big Fish & TWT, no sub fees, no polygraph fees and will not let someone just drive up to the ramp-pay an entry fee-not fish-and let it count as a qualifier. We also keep our events in as close an area as we can, so you will not have to spend unnecessary money on pre-fishing and lodging.
